Required assets to set up a release

In order to set up a release for distribution in Labelcaster, you’ll need to have the following ready to go:

  • Mastered stereo audio file—the music We accept .wav files—bit depth: 16 or 24, sample rates: 44.1kHz, 48 kHz or 96kHz
  • Cover art The artwork must be exactly square — at least 3000 x 3000 pixels — in .jpeg or .png format :labelcaster: Cover art requirements for restrictions and other guidelines
  • Artist profiles The artist must be in the Labelcaster platform, ready to connect to the release. You can invite as you set up the release, if you need to. You’ll need their email addresses to do that. :labelcaster: How do I add an artist?
  • Metadata ready to fill in Composer (songwriter), Producer, Performer(s), catalog number (optional, if you have one), release date, genre(s), language. We can supply UPC and ISRC codes, or you can enter your own if you already have them.
