A built-in digital distribution license agreement everyone can trust
To protect all parties, the Labelcaster system requires that all releases have distribution agreements in place. When you create a release, you can upload your own signed agreement or use our template. That built in template, called the Digital Distribution License Agreement covers the licensing of recordings solely for the distribution to Third Party Music Services (also known as music streaming services or DSPs) and how royalties from that will be split amongst the various participants. It does not cover physical distribution, merchandise licensing, or other mechanical rights.

If you choose to use the template, our system will gather information from the release details like territory and recording titles then guide you through setting up the agreement, the rights period and artists participants and royalty splits. You can choose to add additional participants to receive splits, for example a contributing artist, collaborator investor or engineer. You can invite new artists (participants) to Labelcaster as you set the splits up. Once you have it set up, you will โsignโ the agreement and our e-signature system will take care of getting all other parties signed. When royalties come in from the various DSPs, Labelcaster than reports and pays all participants according to the splits set up in the contract.
Alternatively, you can use your own licensing an agreement by uploading it and just set up the splits.
