Why do I need to apply to get an account? Can I just sign up and get going?

We are laser focused on small independent record labels. Because we take the risk with our label partners with no upfront fees, we’ve created an application process to bring onboard viable business partners. This means an actual human here screens every application to ensure that the account info is legit, the owner has the rights to distribute music in their catalogs, and they are actually a label—not an individual artist. That takes a few days and some conversations. If after that, we think you’re a good fit, we’ll approve the application and welcome you aboard the platform!

Since our focus is on record labels and businesses, we do not approve applications from unsolicited artists.* That said, we do love new upstart businesses and want to support up-and-coming independent record labels. You don’t have to be huge, but you do have to be a serious business.

So if you’ve applied as a label, give us a couple of days to get back to you, we’ll have a discussion and then make decision.

:labelcaster: Apply here

*If you are an artist, you might want to check out aggregators like Distrokid, Amuse, TuneCore, CDBaby or the like.
