How do I set up two-factor authentication (2FA)?

You can use two-factor authentication (2FA) for logging in for added security for your account. You can use your favorite authenticator app like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password, etc., to provide the extra authentication.

To enable two-factor authentication

  1. Log in to your Labelcaster account
  1. Click your account icon in the upper right of the screen to access accounts and profiles
  1. Click the gear icon
  1. Choose Setup 2FA at the bottom of the drop down
  1. Follow the steps to connect your authentication app.
    1. You’ll scan a QR code or copy a passcode that you will then use in your authenticator app to generate a six-digit passcode to paste into your Labelcaster profile
  1. When you log in to Labelcaster, it will ask for the authentication on top of your normal email and password.

You can remove 2FA by going to the same dialog box (by clicking on your profile icon and gear icon) and choosing remove 2FA.
